The legend goes that the giant of Scotland came to Ireland to contest with the giant of Ireland. This is the causeway that he followed. Each cove within the causeway holds a different rock formation. Various shapes and form of rock, leave one standing in awe. From the Camel, to the Granny, to the Boot, to the Organ, to the Wishing Stools to the Chimney tops, the eye stretches and the aquamarine blue brings them back to stare into the depths below. As for the giants, the contest never happened because the giant of Ireland heard that the giant of Scotland was coming and he jumped into the pram. There was a loud knock at the door. The giant of Scotland peered down at the giant of Ireland's wife and asked to see the giant of Ireland. She turned into the house and started stroking the baby's head and replied: "He actually left a few hours ago with the other two wee ones and left me with the baby." The giant of Ireland looked around nervously, turned and left muttering: "Aai, if that be the baby, then what size must the father be?"
